in Tampa Florida  2006
and is being retrained
using Clinton Anderson
.
Maggie a 4 year old Rescued Sorrel Mare is starting the New Year 2005 with
us and will be rehabilitated and up for adoption later this year. She was found
in a barn with eight other horses that had been left in their stalls for several
years, none had their feet trimmed, worming or vaccinations. A yearling colt
also came with Maggie but died several hours after arriving due to neglect at
the holding facility this case is currently under investigation with the authorities.
Maggie will have to grow  entirely new hooves to correct the damage done. She
will need trimming every three weeks to slowly change the angles and form
heels and frogs. UPDATE 2007 MAGGIES NEW OWNER IS A 4-H MEMBER
AND THEY ARE HAVING A BLAST DOING THE SPEED GAMES

SUMMER NEEDS A NEW HOME QUICKLY DUE TO OWNERS INJURY
2 1/2 year old filly with Seattle Slew for a great grandfather. Owner said she is fast and has seen
her jump on her own and WOW! She thinks she would make a great jumper/hunter prospect.
She has virtually no real training.  She is a dark bay and really is gorgeous.  She has potential,
but she has not had the care she deserves.  She would love to see her go to a home really
interested in getting started in some discipline.  She has great bloodlines and comes out of an
Appendix QH Mare and a stallion that is Seattle Slew's grandson. No papers.   When you have
her on lead, she will tie, stand and all that, but she isn’t easy to caught. Should grow to 16 hands
or taller.
            HOME FOUND FEBRUARY 2008
Aidan came to us because of a change of life situation.
Aidan is a 3 year old Paint pony Approximately 13.2hh
may reach 14hh. Ground trained, he has been worked
with Parelli Level 1 and knows most of the 7 games. He
halters, ties, bathes, lunges, loads (doesn't like clippers
at this time). He is a nice mover and has speed, would
make a nice games pony when saddle broke. He is a
good boy, very friendly and curious but needs to learn
respect for humans, at times he seems to think he can
do what ever he wants.
June 2008 Adopted by Mrs. Johnson, Rockledge Fl
July update, the family loves Aidan and Aidan had his
first rider on him last weekend with no problems....

Thank you Young Family
13 year old Hope(Registered Tahamas High Dream) When we
received Hope she had been left with no water or food for several days.
Update May 2008
Hope's new owners found out Hope is actually descended from a
brother to the horse Haleigh's grandfather showed and won at the
Appaloosa World Championships 3 times. This was exciting news for
the young lady because her grandfather had passed away a few
months before her grandmother adopted Hope. She had learned a
love for the Appaloosa breed from him and now will be using Hope in a
new Equine program at her school.

March 2008 New Rescue

Paladin a 7 year old Tennessee Walker/Quarter Gelding. He has been bounced from three places in the last
six months. One because of serious health problems, one that didn't have the experience or knowledge to
deal with a horse and who's solution was to take him to the auction for the kill buyer to purchase. His last
stop before H.O.R.S.E. Inc was a horse lover that couldn't see him going to slaughter, she saved him and
then called us for help. He needs his Coggins, vaccinations, teeth floated (they have never been done) hoof
trimming and a lot of detangling done on this tail which is a total knotted mess from top to bottom, it looks as
if it hasn't been combed in a year . Because of lack of handling and some other issues he is spooky at this
time. He is very friendly and sweet and wants to please he was broke and trained in the past. With time,
handling, and patience he will be a wonderful horse for someone.
3/15/2008 Doctor Roberts of Central Florida Equine Hospital gave Paladin his vaccinations, coggins, floated
his teeth she also cleaned his sheath which was swollen. While cleaning him she removed a bean the size
of a large marble, a bean is a heavy accumulation of smegma in the urethral. The day after the cleaning the
swelling in his sheath had gone away. The total cost of his veterinarian care was $295.00
3/24/2008 Farrier Jeniffer Hill came and trimmed Paladin's hooves, he was a total gentleman and did not
give her any problems.
April 12, 2008 Paladin has been adopted. His new owners came several times all the way from South
Brevard in the last month and worked with him. With a joint effort of many, he is now much calmer and
trusting I am confident with time he will be a wonderful riding horse. Thank you Diane and Jeff
